Max Verstappen, the newly crowned Formula One World Champion, is proud of his accomplishment but hungry for more success with Red Bull.

The Dutchman won his second consecutive Drivers’ Championship at the Japanese Grand Prix last weekend, with four races remaining on the calendar.

I hope we can stay competitive for a few more years; I want to win more races and, possibly, more championships. But, of course, that won’t change what I’ve already accomplished. It’s something I’m particularly proud of.

“Everyone on the team and everyone involved with us deserves more than what we are currently displaying. As long as they can all stay together. I believe we are capable of even more outstanding seasons.”

Verstappen’s victory at Suzuka also brought him level with Fernando Alonso’s record of 32 F1 Grand Prix victories.

The next race on the calendar is the United States Grand Prix, which will be held on October 23 at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin.
