MASOOD

Shan Masood, a Pakistan batsman, was taken to the hospital for scans on Friday after being hit on the head during a practise session prior to the team’s first match at the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia.

On Sunday, Pakistan will kick off their campaign against archrival India in Melbourne.

A stray shot from Mohammad Nawaz struck Masood on the head and left him flat on the ground as the team was preparing for the game.

“He passed the tests administered by our physiotherapist. He’s been to the hospital for scans, and we’re hoping he’ll be fine “Shadab Khan, vice captain, told reporters.
