PITSO

Pitso Mosimane, a well-known African coach, will return to the dugout after signing a contract with Al Ahli Saudi FC in Saudi Arabia.

The club is based in Jeddah and currently competes in the second division after being relegated from the Saudi Arabia Professional League in the 2021/22 season.

This will be Mosimane’s first job since leaving Egyptian giants Al Ahly in June, despite signing a new contract three months prior.

Fitness manager Kabelo Rangoaga, performance analysis manager Musi Matlaba, and performance analyst Kyle Solomon will join Mosimane at Al-Ahli.

Mosimane’s management team issued a statement in which the former Bafana Bafana coach instructed MT Sports to only present offers that are “interesting and challenging.”

“Having left Al Ahly SC three months ago, MT Sports has received numerous offers from clubs and national teams all over the world for coach Pitso and his dream team,” the statement read.

“However, the coaches’ mandate to MT Sports was to only take on an interesting and challenging project that would allow them to have an impact in turning a team into champions.”
