Tweefontein residents are on edge after another woman’s body was discovered in a field by a passerby last week. This follows the discovery of the bodies of three women in the same area the previous year.
“Her abdominal wall was slashed open, exposing her organs.” There is evidence that she was murdered elsewhere and her body was dumped there. That’s probably because there wasn’t much blood at the scene.”
Mohlala claimed that three other women of a similar age had been discovered dead in the same field over the previous year, in three separate incidents that occurred in three different months.
He claimed that DNA evidence linked the discovery of the first three bodies to a man who had previously gone missing.
We haven’t arrested him yet because we’re still investigating,” Mohlala explained.
“There is no evidence to suggest that the deaths of these four women were the result of a single killer or killers.” We need more information to determine whether any other bodies have been discovered in the area.”
Betty Masimula, Thabisile’s mother, told News24 that she last saw her daughter a week ago when she moved out of the house and into a room in the backyard.

Masimula did not see her daughter the next morning, so she awoke and went to work, as Masimula had expected.
Mduduzi Mbethe, a local, said he and other Tweefontein residents would march to the police station to demand an investigation into the murders.
Fearful residents have asked the police to take “strong action,” according to Mother.
Mohlala asked Tweefontein residents to help the police identify the murderers.
