South African players will compete for a life-changing opportunity at the auction, which will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, as the six franchises bring out their $2 million purses to finalise their squads for the inaugural event in January.
Bavuma, who has played 25 T20Is for South Africa, hopes to be part of the SA20 auction.
“There will be a massive auction.” “As players, we’ll find out where we’ll be playing our cricket,” said Bavuma.
“I live in Johannesburg, so it would be nice to play at home.” I am not ruling out any of the teams; I am willing to play for any of them. A young player could be purchased for a high price, which could be life-changing.”
Bavuma has recovered from an elbow injury that has kept him out of the Proteas’ current series against England and is looking forward to getting match ready to lead South Africa at the ICC T20 World Cup next month.

“I’m pleased with where I’m at in terms of recovery.” It’s been a trying time, but I’m glad I’m here. “I’m excited to get out and see everyone,” Bavuma said.
“My T20 game has had to evolve.” T20 cricket has influenced other formats, and the modern game of cricket is evolving at a rapid pace. Like many other players, I’ve had to adapt my game to keep up with the times.
“It’s been exciting because there’s always a challenge and you have to adapt your game to meet that challenge.” The SA20 will provide me with another opportunity to push myself and improve my game, making me more effective.”
